Erfanul Alam Siddiquee spends his days mainstreaming Islamic finance and improving financial literacy for adults. But watching his toddler daughter instinctively share her apple with everyone before taking a bite made him realise something profound: children already embody the timeless Islamic wisdom about wealth—that money is a trust requiring both wise stewardship and generous sharing, that saving and giving can beautifully coexist, and that true abundance comes from balanced choices that care for both our future and our community.

As his daughter grew, he found himself wondering how to nurture and draw out the beautiful understanding she naturally possessed. How could he help her retain this wisdom as she encountered the world’s messages about money? The answer came to him clearly: stories. Stories would be the perfect way to strengthen what was already in her heart, to show her characters who faced real choices and made them with the same generous wisdom she instinctively displayed. That realisation inspired him to write the tales that would celebrate and cultivate the Islamic values she already carried within.

Drawing on advanced qualifications and years of experience working in the Islamic finance industry across different countries, Erfan brings a unique combination of global financial expertise and a father’s heart to children’s literature.
